Words have a way of forming an image in a person's mind, showing the potential for true change and impact. Describing the needs of a community that are simple to understand is art. Painting a picture that motivates someone to take action is real magic.
To me, that is grant writing.

As a seasoned grant professional specializing in foundations and grants, I have a proven track record of driving substantial growth in funding. During my tenure at Best Buddies International from Fall 2015 to Spring 2021, I achieved a 45% increase in foundation revenue. My well-crafted proposals secured approximately $4.3 million in funding with a 98% projection accuracy rate.
In Spring 2021, I started as the inaugural Grants Manager for Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont, a vital organization serving Charlotte, NC, and 18 surrounding counties. In this pivotal role, I oversee all aspects of grant initiatives, strategically aligning them with annual revenue targets and organizational priorities.
Additionally, I am proud to contribute my expertise to the field as the Board Secretary for the North Carolina chapter of the Grant Professionals Association. In this position, I am committed to advancing the practice of grant writing and philanthropy throughout North Carolina.
